Retreats
We provide opportunities and retreats for families with special needs.
Wellness GIFTS, a program by Pathways, Inc., offers camping retreats to families who have a family member with developmental disabilities, living at home with their parents or other family members.* Our families enjoy a weekend camping resort experience in a safe family-friendly atmosphere. GIFTS retreats are unique because we focus on the entire family to take a holistic approach to strengthen families by offering education, respite, and networking opportunities. The connections and friends made during the family’s stay have a lasting positive influence when the family returns home. We understand that stronger families create stronger communities.
Our retreats are held in the Finger Lakes region in a family-friendly location to develop lasting relationships and support. Volunteers assist with children to allow caregivers the opportunity to participate fully in activities.
*Must have established eligibility for OPWDD services.
