Q: When is training?
A: In 2020, our main training will scheduled for a date in May TBA.
Q: What if I cannot make it to the May training?
A: Training will be held each Friday before retreats. We strongly recommend attending the Training Days.
Q: What days and what hours would I be an assistant?
A: In addition to your training session, the hours we need Assistants include:
Q: Can I be a part time assistant?
A: Yes! We are always looking for help behind the scenes or for those times when a scheduled assistant calls in sick. You will still need to complete the application process and attend a training. We could also use help between retreats and over the winter.
Q: Will you write me a letter of recommendation or fill out my school’s paperwork?
A: If the assistant is present for any or all of the day retreats, I would be happy to write a letter of recommendation. If the assistant is fulfilling a volunteer commitment for another organization and his or her requirements are less than one weekend, I will write and/or sign a verification letter that you were here and for what dates and times. If you are looking to fulfill college level or other experiential learning experience requirements, I will be happy to fill out your paperwork as long as you meet the requirements of your program.
Q:Will volunteering cost me anything?
A: We provide volunteers with meals, and training.
